SMS Alert Program — Opt-In Workflow
This public page documents how authorized users consent to receive transactional SMS device alerts from LBI WatchDog (Light Bulb Ideas LLC). Production opt-in occurs inside the authenticated web application after login.

Who can opt in
Only authorized administrators and device managers with accounts issued by Light Bulb Ideas LLC or a licensed partner company may configure SMS alerts. End users do not receive marketing messages; alerts are transactional only (offline/online, relay changes, power anomalies, sensor alarms).
Primary opt-in path (Notifications tab)
- User logs in at https://lbiwatchdog.com/app with authorized credentials.
- User selects a customer account and device from Customer Details.
- User opens the Notifications tab.
- User reads the SMS Alert Program — Consent & Disclosures panel (shown below).
- User enters their mobile number in E.164 format (e.g.
+15551234567) in a Phones field (Device Connectivity, Relay rules, Power rules, or AI Analysis). - User clicks Save on that section. Saving stores the number and sends a one-time opt-in confirmation SMS.
- Recipient may reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help at any time.
Phone field is empty by default until the user enters their number. Consent is given when the user clicks Save after reading the disclosures above.
Secondary opt-in path (Settings → Inputs)
For sensor/alarm inputs, authorized users may enable SMS under Settings → Inputs → Configure Actions → SMS (Twilio), enter a phone number, and click Save. The same opt-in confirmation SMS is sent on first save.

You're opted in to LBI WatchDog device alerts for [device name]. Alerts for offline/online and relay changes. Est 1-10 msgs/mo. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Msg&Data rates may apply.
Required disclosures (also in Privacy Policy & Terms)
- Sender: LBI WatchDog / Light Bulb Ideas LLC
- Message type: Transactional device alerts only — not marketing or affiliate messages
- Frequency: Varies; approximately 1–10 messages per month per recipient
- Rates: Message and data rates may apply
- Opt-out: Reply STOP (also STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, END, CANCEL)
- Opt-in again: Reply START, YES, or UNSTOP
- Help: Reply HELP or INFO
- Privacy: Mobile numbers and messaging consent are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing
